Chur Darts
Privacy
How we look after your details. Updated 19 October 2026.
Chur Darts is an online darts league for players across New Zealand and Australia, run from New Zealand. This page covers churdarts.co.nz, churdarts.com, and the Chur Darts Facebook Page, Instagram account and Facebook app. If anything here is not clear, message us and we will explain.
1. What is public
Playing in a league means your results are part of it. Once you are playing in Chur, these show on our website and in our posts on Facebook and Instagram:
- Your name and profile photo
- Your DartsMind username
- Your town or region, and your country’s flag
- Your matches: who you played, when, the score and your stats (averages, checkouts, 180s and the rest)
- Anything worked out from your matches: tables, teams, trophies, levels and rankings
- Match videos we stream or post on YouTube
- If you play for a club we host on our Clubs page, your name and club results show there too
2. What only our admins see
3. Our Facebook app
We have a Facebook app called Chur Darts Auto Post. It does two jobs: it posts our own result cards and videos to the Chur Darts Facebook Page and Instagram account, and it collects the result screenshots our admins send to the Page in Messenger so the results can go in. It never logs you in, and it does not read your Facebook profile, your friends, your posts, or messages you send anyone else.
4. Who helps us run Chur
A few services do the heavy lifting. Each one only gets what it needs for its job:
These services keep data on servers outside New Zealand, mostly in the United States. Apart from what is public above, we do not share your details with anyone else, we never sell them, and there are no ads on the site.
5. Cookies and counting visits
There are no tracking cookies and no ads. We count visits in total (which pages, what kind of device, and which site sent you), never who you are or your internet address. To stop spam on our forms we keep a scrambled code made from your internet address, which changes every day and cannot be turned back into the address.
The site also keeps a copy of the league in your own browser so it opens fast, and remembers anything you tell it on that device, like tapping This is me. Clearing your browser’s data removes it.
6. Players under 18
Players under 18 need a parent or guardian’s OK before they are placed in a division. Their name, photo and results show like everyone else’s, and a parent or guardian can ask us to change or remove anything at any time.
7. How long we keep things
8. Seeing, changing or deleting your details
Message the Chur Darts Facebook Page at m.me/churdarts and tell us what you would like to see, change or delete. We will sort it within 20 working days and message you back when it is done.
If you ask us to delete your details, we will:
- Delete your sign-up, your survey answers and our copies of anything you have sent us
- Take down your profile photo, your DartsMind username and your location
- Take your name off your match results. The results themselves stay, because they are part of your opponents’ records too
- Delete any of our Facebook or Instagram posts you point us to
Backups clear themselves within 90 days.
9. Questions or complaints
Message us first at m.me/churdarts. If you are not happy with how we have handled something, you can complain to New Zealand’s Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
